ETC Has A New Assistant Director and Marketing & Community Coordinator
Jacqueline Albright promoted to Assistant Director; Rachel Blevins joins as Marketing and Community Coordinator
BALTIMORE (May 11, 2016) – The Emerging Technology Centers (ETC) today announced the promotion of Jacqueline Albright from Community and Program Manager to Assistant Director. Albright joined the ETC in December 2013 and was instrumental in assisting Deb Tillett, ETC President, in the transition from Canton to its current Highlandtown location on North Haven Street. In the two years since she assumed the role of community and program manager, Albright has grown the active Beehive Baltimore co-working space from five to 45 members.
“Jackie is a talented young woman and has been key to the successful growth of the ETC community,” said Deb Tillett, President, ETC. “Thanks to her strategic management of our programs and successful marketing efforts, the ETC has made a significant economic impact on the city of Baltimore, by helping startups grow and thrive.”
In her new role as Assistant Director, Albright will focus on partnerships and initiatives to continue to drive the ETC’s programs forward. Having recently completed four certificates as part of the International Business Innovation Association’s (InBIA) Incubator Management training program, she will work to structure new initiatives for the ETC to remain a leader in the community. In addition to these industry certifications, Albright has started her MBA at Loyola University Maryland, continuing her management and business education to better lead the ETC and Baltimore communities.
Tillett also announced the hiring of Rachel Blevins, who will join the ETC as a Community and Marketing Coordinator. Blevins is a recent graduate from West Virginia University. Her previous experience working for Pixilated and Baltimore Magazine, as well as her recent internship with the ETC’s Accelerate Baltimore program made her an ideal candidate for the newly created role. Blevins’ primary responsibility will be to manage the ETC’s digital marketing and event efforts, to keep the community informed and involved.
With these key organizational changes and a team of five full time employees, the ETC is well-positioned to continue its core business of helping start-up businesses grow, as well as innovating to meet the needs of the community it serves. The ETC currently works with more than 100 companies and provides its clients with access to over 65,000 sq. ft. of flexible, affordable, collaborative workspace and multiple business support services.
