Conference Will Focus on Non-Surgical Contraceptive Methods of Pet Population Control
Baltimore, MD- Dr. Carlos Esquivel, Chief Veterinary Officer, and Brian Corbett, President and Chief Operating Officer, of Ark Sciences will be featured speakers at the 4th International Symposium on Non-Surgical Contraceptive Methods of Pet Population Control, hosted by the Alliance for Contraception in Cats and Dogs (ACC&ampD) in Dallas, Texas April 8-10.  
Dr. Esquivel will participate in a panel with veterinarians and animal welfare advocates from leading organizations from the U.S. and abroad.  Panelists will provide perspective, insight, and opinion on injectable sterilants for male dogs, much of that based on field use. Dr. Esquivel will provide training on injection technique on for Ark Sciences’ product, EsterilSol™.  Brian Corbett will follow participating in a panel discussion and Q&ampA session on the future on non-surgical sterilization.
“This is the first ACC&ampD symposium where we have been able to offer training to attendees to use this newly available steriliant for male dogs. ACC&ampD is offering international grants to advance effective use of EsterilSol”, said Joyce Briggs, President at the Alliance for Contraception in Cats and Dogs. “We are delighted to be able to offer this training with Ark Sciences as well as work with them on the grants program.”
The conference will provide an opportunity for leading stakeholders from the animal welfare community – including advocates, scientists, researchers, foundations, and non-profits - to discuss how to advance non-surgical methods of controlling cat and dog populations. Attendees will come from 24 countries on six continents.
Some of the featured speakers at the conference will include Dr. Charles Rupprecht, Chief of the Rabies Program at the Centers for Disease Control and president and CEO of The Humane Society of the United States, Wayne Pacelle ASPCA president and CEO, Ed Sayres Dr. Stephen J. O’Brien, head of the Laboratory of Genetic Diversity at the National Cancer Institute of the National Institutes of Health.  Also in attendance from Ark Sciences will be Joseph Tosini, CEO, and Don Landers, Chairman.
